Event review: THE LAST TRICK

We just came out of what was an, in my opinion, exciting and motivating event called "The Last Trick", which came as a type of event a lot of people were looking for. Not only was it an alliance totalizer with 60 prestige but it also offered a so called "Trickster Crystal" at the end of every prestige with a chance on either 2-, 3- or 4-star shards or a new bot in 2-, 3- or 4-star Cosmos. Additional to that, the event offered a total of the following rewards:

60 x 300 = 18,000 Spark
60 x 25,000 = 1,500,000 Energon
60 x 25,000 = 1,500,000 Alloy

In preparation for this event no major player movements were made, so all three alliances started with the personnel they had. The goal was as usual to finish Warpath early in the event and than spread out to Beings and Knights for a maximum possible reward for everyone. Every group set very clear minimums this time:
  • Warpath: 9k total minimum, 3k as daily target
  • Beings: 6k total minimum, 2k as daily target
  • Knights: 3k total minimum, 1k as daily target
Warpath had only 5 people below the expected score (adjusted to the fact we finished early), Beings saw a little more with 13 players missing out on the target, and Knights had 8 folks below par. The upside of this was that we had some early and clear statements from people who had to deal with real life or technical issues, which I truly appreciate. As long as we know about someone's whereabouts, we won't lash out on or even kick them.

The overall dedication to this event let to Warpath finishing after approx. 50 hours. We have to admit here that we received huge help by lesviva and mudthump, two Warpath alumni now killing it TF Psy-Ops, who brought as an extra score of 50,972 points. Without them, we would have needed maybe 8 to 10 more hours to finish, still leaving us with at least 12 hours to help out the family. In reality, we now had 22 hours left to spread out in rotation which was great.

Beings already had about 184,000 points by themselves when rotation kicked in, Knights had about 124,000 points. So Beings were heading for 264,000, Knights for 178,000 if both kept their pace. Both numbers are great, and with some help from Warpath members we finally finished with the following results.

I took a look at everyone's combined score from all three groups and, for the first time, I'll present to you the first Sentinel family event ranking.

Congratulations to everyone who extended their personal best and thanks to all who pulled their weight this weekend.

Kind regards

Event info: THE LAST TRICK

Holiday season is around the corner. For celebration Space Ape gives us what could probably be the last alliance totalizer this year. And it's an event type lots of people asked for.

We are facing a 60 prestige event for up to 60 crystals with a chance to pull 2-, 3- or 4-star Cosmos, the newest member of the Autobot roster.

Leading staff set up the following minimums for our groups:

  • Warpath: 9k total minimum, 3k as daily target
  • Beings: 6k total minimum, 2k as daily target
  • Knights: 3k total minimum, 1k as daily target
Warpath will as always try to finish early and help out the other groups with a smooth player rotation.

Here are the details on the zones and rewards:

Good luck and roll out!

Event info: STARGAZERS

This weekend will be shard heavy as we are approaching a 60 prestige alliance event which will give us a shard crystal every 6,000 points. Those crystals can spawn all shard types up to 5-star shards or spark.

For a 40 people alliance this means 9,000 points each, which isn't too high for dedicated  players. Warpath will try to finish this as early as possible to help out our folks in Knights and Beings getting the maximum rewards.

If you need a plan how to get to 9k, check my player's guide on event scoring.

Find the details for the event below.

Good luck to all of you!

Event review: TRIPLE THREAT

Last weekend saw the long awaited introduction of the Triple Changers, Springer and Astrotrain, to the game. There was a lot of rumors about the event type in which they would be dished out to the players, and it turned out to be a classic leaderboard event. I won't start to vent about this questionable type of event at this point and stick to giving you a review of how the event went down for the Sentinel family.

In preparation of the event, we decided to melt down on of our smaller alliances in Sentinel Rising. Last weekend already saw a temporarily merge of them with Sentinel Knights, and we decided that it be better for everyone if we would just focus on a family of three again. So we did a smooth switch of all players on Thursday, having all three alliances ready for the event in time.

We already decided earlier that we won't be able to seriously push for the top 100 ranks with any of our groups, so we issued hall passes to everyone who would like to act as a merc in of the top 100 crews. A six man task force went to TF Black Ops, a smaller number of solo fighters went to different other groups.

All three groups finished the first chapter of the event- reaching a alliance total o 60,000 points - within the first 24 hours. Warpath were then set safely in the top 400, while Beings floated in and out of those ranks. To secure extra rewards for the most people possible, Knights' top scorers hopped over to Beings and Warpath to fill up their open slots and let both crews finish in the top 400. Some low scorers had to be demoted to Knights for that to happen. Those of who we knew the reason for scoring low weren't affected. This once gain proves: Communication is the key!

Both Beings and Warpath did an incredible job and finished on solid ground in the top 400, securing every player an extra of 5 premium crystals and 1,000 spark.

Our task force in TF Black Ops represented Sentinel style in the best possible matter. They scored a combined 139,385 points or 18% of TF Black Ops' overall score and therefore played an important in role in letting that crew finish ranked 29th and earning them 3-star Springer.

Me personally was extremely motivated for this as I wanted Springer in this game since day 1. The time span from him being rumored to be added until he finally hit the game was way too long, so I just couldn't wait to get my hands on him. I even thought about a one time only shot in a top 5 crew, but that's just insane considering the time and money needed to do so. Nevertheless, I hit a new personal best in cracking 30k for the first time. It's not a score I can do on a regular basis, but it was a lot of fun to go there and hang with the elite players in this game.

Thank you for reading along.

Event info: TRIPLE THREAT

Alright folks, event details have been released. Next weekend will be a classic alliance leaderboard for Springer. Here are the details:

As we already stated, we expect this event to be more hard fought as usual as the Triple Changers promise to be game changing.

Therefore we don't see a realistic chance for any Sentinel alliance to reach the top 100 ranks. Every Sentinel members who wants to merc this weekend for a chance on 3-star Springer or even higher, is free to go and will be welcomed back after the event without hesitation.

For those who stay we'll try to let everyone finish the 60,000 points for 2* Springer.

Cheers

Event review: FRIGHT NIGHT

Event Name: Fright Night
Date: 03/11/17 - 06/11/17
Event type: Alliance Totaliser
Prestige Allowed: None
Bonus Experience: 200%

Possible rewards:
500 x 4-star shards
1,000 x 3-star shards
1,400 x 2-star shards
700,000 x Energon
700,000 x Alloy
5 x EMP Blast Mk 3
3 x Orbital Strike Mk 3
2 x EMP Blast Mk 2
1 x Dialog

This event would force a full alliance of 40 Players to score 5,000 points each within 72 hours. This a rather low target for an alliance totaliser, so we set our target to letting all four alliances finish this one.

Warpath started with 35 Players, so with a fair share of approx. 6,000 we would have been done. With an event minimum of 9,000 points we expected to be done within 48 hours. We ended spot on, had some very strong performances at the top but some low scores to compensate as well.

In Beings we tried to finish the event without any help from other Sentinel groups, as 5,000 points was the minimum there anyways. Midway we experienced some folks to fall behind, so we had to let go of that aim took in some help from Warpath members at the end of day 2. We finished in less than two and a half days.

Rising and Knights both started with only around 25 members. Rising set themselves an ambitious target of trying for 5,000 points per member, which lots of players reached. After day 1 we saw that neither Rising nor Knights would finish on their own due to the low member count in both groups. Therefore we managed a short-term merge of both groups while dropping some low to zero scorers. The now full alliance pulled its weight tremendously, always keeping one to three spots open for Warpath members to rotate in and out. In the end, 46 players contributed to our score and dragged the third of our alliances over the finish line, with more than 3 hours left.

Me personally started in Warpath, jumping to Rising as soon as I hit my 6k target. I did three turns there, another two turns in Beings and then returned to Warpath, just in time to catch my reward of 300 4-star shards. I then continued rotating in and out of Rising, collecting the missing rewards there. One alliance buddy played two turns for my account while I was asleep Sunday to Monday, probably giving me an extra of around 1,000 points. Overall I hit a good score of 13,531 points (6,165 for Warpath, 5,444 for Rising and 1,922 for Beings).

It was the first totaliser event with our newest group of Sentinel Knights, and I'd say we delivered big time. All active players scored the full reward. Those who where left behind did their part in not letting us know that or why they won't be able to hit the required minimums this weekend. Those who returned hopefully learned the lesson that all we ask for is communication, and that we will carry everyone who is dedicated and willing to pull their weight whenever possible.

Up next is the long awaited Triple Changer event. Rumours expect it to be a leaderboard. We'll know for sure come Wednesday.
